Submission Guidelines & General Information

All abstracts designated as free papers at JDW 2023 must be submitted online via the committee’s official website jakartadigestiveweek.com and will be designated to E-Poster Presentation.

  1. Abstract senders must first register as a participant in JDW 2023 before submitting the abstract.
  2. You will receive Registration Notification after completing your online registration. The notification will consist of your login information.
  3. You are requested to login first in order to send your abstract.
  4. The online abstract submission system will open on 1 July 2023
  5. Deadline for abstract submission is 1 August 2023. Abstract Submission extended to 15 August 2023.
  6. Abstracts are submitted according to the format determined by the committee (please see the Abstract Format section).
  7. Participants must choose one of the abstract topics from the abstract topic categories available in the online system (See Abstract Topic Category Section).
  8. Submission abstract via email or WhatsApp WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
  9. Abstracts that have been accepted by the Committee CANNOT BE UPDATED/EDITED and will be published according to their original contents.
  10. Your abstract is not successfully submitted until you receive a confirmation e-mail after clicking the submit button. If you do not receive a confirmation e-mail, please contact us.

Abstract Format

Presentation Type

  1. Abstracts must be original and have not been published or presented at other scientific meetings prior to JDW 2023.
  2. All abstracts will be peer-reviewed on the basis of scientific merit by the Scientific Committee in the chosen topic.
  3. The Scientific Committee will decide which abstract will be presented in the form of a Poster Presentation.

 

Language

All abstracts should be submitted and presented in clear English with accurate grammar and accurate spelling of a quality suitable for publication.

 

Abstract’s Title

  1. The title of the abstract is written in Bold.
  2. Abstract title must be in UPPER CASE with no full stop at the end and no underlining.
  3. Abstract title is limited to 20 words.

 

Content

  1. Author(s)’s name and affiliations are typed after the abstract title in non-capital letters, without titles.
  2. The main researcher’s name (Author) is in bold (Bold) and the presenter’s name is underlined
  3. A maximum of 250 WORDS is allowed for the abstract text.
  4. Tables and graphs should not be included in the abstract.
  5. Trades/industrial names are not allowed.

 

Abstract’s Structures for Scientific Research

Abstract for scientific research must be prepared that show:

  1. Background
  2. Objective
  3. Methodology
  4. Result (if relevant)
  5. Conclusion
  6. Keywords (4 words maximum)

 

Abstract’s Structures for Case Report

Abstract for case report must be prepared that show:

  1. Background
  2. Objective
  3. Case/Cases
  4. Keywords (4 words maximum)

Abstract’s Topic Category

There are several categories for Abstract Topics at JDW 2023, which can be selected when submitting abstracts online via JDW 2023 official website.

Dear colleagues,
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is a great honor to invite you all to the 14th Jakarta Digestive Week (JDW) to be held on 31 August – 2 September 2023.
The 14th JDW will be held in conjunction with Surgical Infection Society – Asia Pacific (SIS-AP). The meeting is scheduled on 2 September 2023 and will present the theme “Surgical Infection in Post Pandemic Covid-19”.
Bringing the theme “Improving Quality of Care in Colorectal Surgery”, the 14th JDW will consist of Workshops, Plenary, Benign Symposium, and Malignant Symposium. Local and International expert faculty member will part of this event and will provide you an overview of what progress has been made towards the complex issue in improving quality of care in colorectal surgery.

As the 14th JDW will also cover various update topics on colorectal surgery, Colorectal Malignancy, Colorectal Cancer. Therefore, the event offers a comprehensive opportunity to update and exchange knowledge and information among digestive surgeons, other specialties. General practitioners are also expected to join.
We sincerely hope all participants will be able to gain the optimal benefit from the 14th JDW and look forward to seeing in this coming event.

We proudly announce and warmly invite you to our upcoming event, the 14th Jakarta Digestive Week (JDW) that will be set on 31 August – 2 September 2023, organized by the Association of Indonesian Digestive Surgeons (IKABDI) of Jakarta Chapter. The 14th JDW will be held in conjunction with Surgical Infection Society – Asia Pacific (SIS-AP). SIS-AP to be held on 2 September 2023.

Association of Indonesian Digestive Surgeons (IKABDI) has continually conducted scientific events as the excellent opportunity to connect, gain new perspectives, gain substantial benefit, and create synergies and take an active role with local and global digestive surgeons’ community.

The 14th Jakarta Digestive Week (JDW) will consist of Workshops, Plenary, Benign Symposium, and Malignant Symposium which will stimulate further scientific discussions and debates. Bringing the theme “Improving Quality of Care in Colorectal Surgery”, the event will be an insightful event for digestive surgeons, other specialties, and general practitioners.
